DYNAMICS IN ASYMPTOTICALLY ANTI-DE

Resumo
We calculate the quasinormal modes and associated frequencies of black holes
in asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetimes: We obtain exact results for the wave-function and quasi normal frequencies of scalar, electromagnetic and Weyl (neutrino) perturbations of the Bañados, Zanelli and Teitelboim (BTZ) non-rotating black hole. This black hole lives in 2+1-dimensions in an asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetime. We also calculate the quasinormal frequencies of electromagnetic and gravitational perturbations of a Schwarzschild anti-de Sitter black hole. These modes are impor-tant when we come to consider dynamical aspects of the spacetime such as radiation emission of an infalling particle.Grupo de Astronomia da Universidade da Madeira - 2001
